Metropolitan State College of Denver is a public, four-year institution conferring bachelor degrees through its business, Professional Studies, and Letters, Arts and Sciences Schools. There are over 50 majors, 70 minors, and an individualized degree program. The individualized degree program gives students the opportunity to create a major or minor that fits their educational needs if they can't find an area of study, among the available majors and minors, to match their academic desires.

Metropolitan State College of Denver gives students the option of day, night and weekend courses at the Auraria campus and the Metro South and Metro North campuses. Metro South also offers online courses and is in the process of developing partnerships with community colleges to coordinate degree programs, delivering curriculum for a baccalaureate degree at community colleges.
