Established in 1973, Middle Georgia Technical College (MGTC) provides vocational educational programs to secondary and post-secondary students. The school offers associate degree, diploma, and technical certificate of credit programs, adult education services, continuing education, and customized business and industry workforce training. Middle Georgia Technical College's mission is to contribute to the wider Middle Georgia community through economic, educational, and community development from their academic and technical programs. MGTCl is accredited to award associate degrees, diplomas, and technical certificates by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges.

There are a variety of academic programs at Middle Georgia Technical College, all with the goal of preparing students for the workforce. MGTC offers programs in business and Technology, Health and Human Services, and Industrial Technology. The school of Business and Technology offers programs in Accounting, Criminal Justice, Information Technology, Marketing and Business Management, Office Occupations, and Paralegal Studies. The Health and Human Services division offers specialties in Barbering and Cosmetology, Dental Programs, Early Childhood Care and Education, and other health occupations. The Industrial Technology unit offers programs in Air Conditioning, automotive, Aerospace, Drafting Technology, Electronics, Industrial and Electrical Systems, Machine Tool, Truck Driving, and Welding.

MGTC offer three different levels of credit programs: associate degrees, diplomas, and technical certificates of credit. The school also offers more than 100 courses online or as a hybrid of online and traditional classroom learning.

Middle Georgia Technical College offers programs through both traditional and distance delivery methods and provides adult literacy opportunities while promoting public awareness of the value of academic and technical education. Middle Georgia Technical College operates out of its Warner Robins campus with extended classroom facilities at the Museum of Aviation and a number of auxiliary training sites.
