Midwest Staging Redesign Institute

Naperville, IL

Midwest Staging Redesign Institute offers courses in the business of redesign and real estate staging from the Chicagoland area. In the week-long redesign training course, students learn how to design their homes and rooms into spaces they desire. In the 3-day Real Estate Staging training courses, students learn the techniques of turning a home into a sellable product. The school is recognized as a vocational school by the ISBE.

The Redesign and Real Estate Staging courses are full-day programs offered Monday through Friday with breakfast, lunch, snacks and one dinner included. Students are recommended to wear casual, comfortable clothes with no jewelry since they will be in homes moving furniture. They should bring a clean pair of gym shoes to wear while in the client's home. The Interior Redesign course teaches individuals who have an "eye" for what looks good, the right process and the basic design principles to follow in order to transform rooms into beautiful spaces. It is for both professionals and individuals who seek to redesign for themselves.

After MSRI training, students are eligible to join both IRIS (Interior Redesign Industry Specialists) and the MRSA (Midwest Redesign & Staging Association). To become an Interior Redesign Specialist, individuals must pass the IRIS exam and complete the five day MSRI training course. MSRI helps students start a business by supplying a wide variety of information on marketing, business, contacts, and free advertising as well as the forms and basics needed to help start one's own business.

After graduating, MSRI keeps students updated on Professional Organizations and affiliations that are active in the Redesign & Staging Industry. Alumni also receive ongoing information, industry news and fresh business ideas.
