Milne Institute Inc (MII) offers training in Visionary Craniosacral Work(tm) based upon the work of the third-generation Scottish osteopath, Hugh Milne. MII holds classes worldwide, with the most busy schedules offered by resident teachers in the USA, Germany, Italy, and Switzerland. MII is an NCBTMB continuing
education provider.
The work at MII stresses the importance of the inner journey, as well as the acquisition of outer skill sets in craniosacral perception and touch. Training focuses on meditation, perceptual clarity, anatomy,
technical mastery, and the
art of loving kindness. The Institute offers training that combines analytic and the intuitive approaches to Craniosacral Work in a meditative setting. Classes are offered in Visionary Anatomy, Cranial foundations & techniques, Pediatric craniosacral, embryology, and visceral manipulation.
Visionary Craniosacral Work is a noninvasive, hands-on
therapy that focuses on the craniosacral system which includes the brain, the cerebrospinal fluid,
The System of membranes inside the cranium, all 22 cranial bones, the spine and the sacrum. MII offers seven 4-day classes that form the core of the school's curriculum. All classes offer various ways to deepen perception and teach students to understand how to touch a client in a precise but gentle manner so that clients feel more aligned and more at home in themselves.
