With a history that reaches as far back as 1965, Mineral Area College is dedicated to serving members of the community through its status as a public and comprehensive two-year institution of higher learning. Towards this end, the school has grown to offer a variety of different vocational training and academic transfer programs.
While students interested in transferring to a bachelor's degree program will find what they need with the associate of arts and associate of general studies degree programs, those who are eager to begin their careers will find the proper training they need with certificate programs. Available certificate and degree programs range from courses in agribusiness,
automotive technology, construction technology,
Culinary Arts, medical coding, and radio/TV broadcasting, to classes in floral design/floral shop maintenance, business management, computer networking, practical
nursing, respiratory therapy, and graphic arts/printing technology.
Now located on a 226-acre campus in Park Hills, Mineral Are College also operates several education outreach centers in Arcadia, Perryville, Potosi, Farmington, Fredericktown, and Winona.

Mineral Area College is a member of Region XVI of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). Students participate in the following athletics: men's and women's basketball, women's volleyball, and men's baseball.
Thanks to this Missouri community college's dual credit program, eligible high school juniors and seniors may take -- and receive credit for -- college-level courses from the comfort of their own high schools.
