is located in the northwestern region of Minnesota, across the Red River from Fargo, North Dakota. The university is a part of the active student-centered Fargo-Moorhead community, where more than 25,000 students reside.

Minnesota State University Moorhead gives students a strong liberal arts education with more than 160 majors including 16 preprofessional studies, 13 graduate programs, and over 32 areas in licensure programs through the College of Arts and Sciences, College of business and Industry, College of Education and Human Services, and College of Social and Natural Sciences.

Minnesota State University Moorhead is part of the Tri-College University partnership with Concordia College and North Dakota State University. This partnership allows students enrolled at one of the colleges to take classes at the other universities, with no additional charges or admission procedures.
