Supporting campuses throughout the state, Minnesota West Community and Technical College caters to a wide demographic of students. The school currently offers day and evening courses as well as distance learning programs of study. Minnesota West students have their choice of associate degree or professional diploma programs of study and will receive academic advising and transfer assistance should they decide to attend a four-year institution after completing their program. Transfer students have a wide array of Associate in Arts and Associate in Science degree programs at their fingertips. Minnesota West Community and Technical College offers degrees in 35 different fields ranging from Economics to Fish and Wildlife Management as well as ten pre-professional degree programs in areas like law, engineering, and airway science. Vocational students have several options, too.

Diploma and certificate programs of study run the gamut from Essentials of Farm business to Lamb and Wool Management. Minnesota West Community and Technical College boasts particularly strong degree and diploma programs in agriculture-related fields. Boasting eight programs in agriculture business and production alone, the school is a haven for anyone willing to get their hands dirty. As a member of the Minnesota community college Conference, Minnesota West athletes will have the opportunity to compete with other athletes statewide. Minnesota West Community and Technical College currently offers nine sports teams to students on campus.

Minnesota West Community and Technical College strives to provides affordable education opportunities for all students. Tuition here is low (only $142 per credit hour for in-state students) or $15 per credit hour for seniors over the age of 62 who are enrolled in the continuing education program. The school also maintains reciprocity agreements with schools in Wisconsin, North Dakota, and South Dakota universities, colleges, and technical schools giving students the opportunity to take course on campuses without paying full out of state tuition. Minnesota West Community and Technical College also provides financial aid counseling, support services for disabled students, veteran services, and personal counseling to all students free of charge.
