Mission College is a public community college located in the Silicon Valley in Santa Clara, California. Planning for Mission College began in the 1960s when twelve acres of land was purchased for the purpose of building the school. Classes at Mission College were held in an interim location until 1979 when the school was finally completed. Over 3,500 students attended that first year. Today, Mission College is a part of the West Valley-Mission Community College District.

Mission College offers a wide variety of certificate and degree programs, including: accounting; anthropology; art/art history; astronomy; biological sciences; business; chemistry; child development; communication studies; computer applications; computer info systems; computer information technology; computer network electronics; counseling; design drafting; economics; engineering; English; English as a second language; fire protection technology; foreign languages; history; geography; global studies; graphic arts; graphic design and multimedia; health education; health occupations; hospitality management; humanities; instructional technology; marketing; management; manufacturing technology; mathematics; music; nursing; nutritional science; philosophy; physics; political science; psychology; reading; real estate; social sciences; sociology; vocational nursing; and tech prep programs. There are also a variety of distance learning courses, including online learning and teleseminars.

Prospective students wishing to enroll at Mission College must have a high school diploma or GED for all of the associate degree programs and most of the certificate and diploma programs; must complete a Compass exam, or have SAT or ACT exam scores. Students who have attended other colleges or universities must also provide a transcript from those schools. There is no on-campus housing available at Mission College, but the school may be able to provide a list of affordable housing options in the area.
