Mitchell Technical Institute is a two-year technical institution of higher learning in South Dakota. For more than 40 years it has been devoted to transforming the lives of community members in the area through its variety of technical programs. In fact, over the years this South Dakota
Technical College have helped more than 12,000 students graduate with new opportunities at their disposal.
Today, Mitchell Technical Institute provides 15 associate of applied science degree programs and four technical diploma programs. (While the former usually demands two years of study on the part of students, the latter only requires a year.) From programs in agricultural chemical technology, radiation therapy, medical laboratory technology, communications systems
engineering technologies, and computer systems technology, to courses in
business management, accounting, architectural design and building construction, heating and cooling technology, and medical secretary/transcriptionist training, there's something for nearly anyone at Mitchell Technical Institute.

Mitchell Technical Institute students participate in intramural sports such as basketball, softball, football, and volleyball. Additional athletic opportunities -- like gymnastics, rollerskating, weight lifting, and aerobics -- are available at the Mitchell Rec Center.
