Formerly known as Montana State University - Billings College of Technology, this institution of higher learning serves as one of five Montana University System campuses. Although Montana State University Billings didn't receive its current name and status until 1987, the school's history traces back to the days of 1969; when it was founded as the Billings Vocational-Technical Education Center.

Students who attend Montana State University Billings today, will find an array of courses and programs that are designed to meet their educational and career training needs. In fact, this Montana college currently boasts 10 certificate programs, 11 Associate of Applied Science degree programs, three Association of Science degree programs, and two Associate of Arts degree programs. While the Associate of Arts and Associate of Science programs are the most popular choice for students who wish to transfer to a traditional four-year college or university, the other associate degree programs -- as well as certificate programs -- provide students with the job preparation and credentials they need in order to enter the career field of their interest.
