The MotoRing Technical Training Institute is a Rhode Island-based training
technical school. Established in 1985 by Ward and Sharon Ring, the MotoRing Technical Training Institute's mission is to provide a quality technical
education to students in fields where workers are in demand. Ward Ring's background was in public and manufacturing education and Sharon Ring had a background developing training programs for the state of Rhode Island. Together, they worked with businesses to identify industries that needed qualified workers.
The MotoRing Technical Training Institute has several programs which include:
automotive service technician; building and property trades technician; electronic communications technician; computer service technician and network installer; marine service technician;
medical and dental office management; medical assistant and motorcycle/power equipment technician.
The automotive service technician program is offered both day and evening. For full-time day students, the program lasts six months and 14 months for part-time evening students. The building property trades technician program is a six-month day program; The electronic communications technician program is also a six-month day program; The computer service technician and network installer program is a seven month day program; the marine service technician is for students wishing to build a career on the water by servicing boats and lasts for seven months during the day. However, it is soon to be offered as an evening program as well. The medical and dental office management program is MotoRing Technical Training Institute's newest program and is offered for seven months during the day; the medical assistant program is a seven month day program or 15 months studying part-time at night and the motorcycle/power equipment technician program requires seven months of day study. All of the programs offered through MotoRing Technical Training Institute are designed to provide students with the necessary skills for entry-level positions in their chosen fields.
Prospective students to the MotoRing Technical Training Institute must submit an approved application; be at least 18 years of age; have a valid driver's license; be able to speak, write and read English and have a
high school diploma or GED.
