Mount Mary is a four-year, Catholic
women's college, whose roots trace to St. Mary's Institute, founded by the School of Sisters of Notre Dame. The college was chartered as the first college for women in Wisconsin to grant degrees. Male students can enroll in the college's undergraduate
nursing, post-baccalaureate certificate and all graduate programs.
Mount Mary College offers more than 40 areas of study with programs to suit each student's needs. Mount Mary students can pursue traditional day programs, evening programs, degree completion, and post-baccalaureate certificates. For students who desire an academic challenge, they can apply to the Honors Program for an enhanced educational experience. Upon graduation, honors program students are rewarded with a "Graduation in the Honors Program" on their diploma.

Mount Mary College's unique academic programs are art therapy, fashion apparel product development, interior design, dietetics, justice, fashion merchandise management, peacebuilding certificate and environmental studies minor, and nursing in partnership with Columbia College of Nursing.
Almost 90 percent of Mount Mary students qualify for financial assistance including grants and other awards.
Mount Mary's Youth Program allows public high school juniors and seniors in Wisconsin to earn high school and college credit by attending the college. Students have access to free parking, Internet, computer labs and classrooms, a College ID, library card, and access to the fitness center and swimming pool. Sample courses include basic psychology, introduction to sociology, world languages, fashion experience, and introduction to fashion careers.
Students have a choice of more than 45 student organizations related to academics and extracurricular interest including: American Society of Interior Designers, ARTS Organization, Behavioral Science Club, Columbia College Student Nursing Association, Communication Club, Fashion Association, Graphic Design Club, Black Student Union, Campus Ministry, Environmental Collegians of Sustainability, Gospel Choir and so much more.
Graduate degrees conferred are Master of Science in Art Therapy, Master of Science in Community Counseling, Master of Science in Dietetics, Master of Arts in Education, Master of Arts in English, Master of business Administration, and Master of Science in Occupational Therapy
Mount Mary College offers students the opportunity to study abroad in countries such as Argentina, China, Costa Rica, France, Germany, Guatemala, Ireland, Nicaragua, Peru, Spain, and Rome. Other opportunities are available for study at the college's affiliate schools or through programs at other colleges and universities.
