Mount Olive College is a private college sponsored by the Convention of Original Free Will Baptists and is rooted in a
liberal arts tradition. Mount Olive has additional locations in Goldsboro, New Bern, the Research Triangle Park, Washington, and Wilmington,
North Carolina. The college is dedicated to developing students in an environment enriched with
Christian values.
Mount Olive College has three academic schools, which includes the Tillman School of
business, School of Arts and Sciences, and School of Professional Studies. Departments and programs offered through these three schools are art and visual communication, history and social studies, language and literature, music, religion, science and mathematics, accounting,
business management, computer information systems, human resource management, agribusiness, criminal justice, early childhood education, psychology, recreation/leisure studies, and a teacher education program.
Mount Olive's evening programs for working adults is an accelerated, modular format program with classes held one night or Saturday per week for a specific number of weeks. Programs available are the heritage program, management and organizational development, criminal justice and criminology, modular religion major, early childhood education,
health care management, and management of information systems. These programs are conveniently offered at all Mount Olive College locations.

The intercollegiate sports compete in NCAA Division II, with 35 percent of the student body participating in intercollegiate and intramural sports.
More than 90 percent of students receive financial assistance.
