Mount Union College has more than 47 majors and 56 minors, all keeping with the liberal arts tradition. A graduate program is available in physician assistant studies and there are pre-professional programs in

Mount Union's nickname is Purple Raiders with MUCaw, a purple parrot, as mascot. Mount Union competes in the Ohio Athletic Conference and in NCAA Division III athletics.
Students can participate in more than a dozen music performance groups including Marching Band, Concert Choir, Symphony Orchestra, Mount Union Alliance Chorale, Brass Choir, Jazz Band, and several ensembles.
Sixty-five percent of students live on campus and can enjoy the many social events scheduled each academic year, including dances, plays and films, art exhibits, lectures and other cultural and entertainment activities as well as get involved in the many campus organizations.
