The holistic health practitioner program is a 1,000-hour program. The program allows students to move to a more advanced training. massage therapy lab; pathology; self care; theory of Asian body-work; advanced massage; Asian bodywork lab; point location; spa techniques; specialized therapeutic modalities; syndromes; sports massage and chi nei tsang.
The Asian therapies massage program is a 616-hour course and is also accredited. The program is comprised strictly of Asian health practices and
massage therapy. The coursework and labs include: Asian bodywork lab; anatomy and physiology;
business and ethics; ethics of touch; kinesiology; massage essentials; pathology; self-care; theory of Asian bodywork; chi nei tsang; point location; shiatsu; Thai massage and tu na.
The Western massage program is also a 616-hour program comprised of advanced western practices and science classes that include: anatomy and physiology; business and ethics; ethics of touch; kinesiology; massage essentials;
massage therapy lab; pathology; self-care; theory of Asian bodywork and three of the following classes: Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation; Spa Techniques; Special Populations; Specialized Therapeutic Modalities; Sports Massage; and Subtle Body Modalities. All of the above programs prepare students for testing on the national certification exam, as well as the certification exam for the City of San Diego.
Prospective students must have a
high school diploma or GED and must pass an entrance exam, visit the campus and speak with an admissions counselor prior to enrollment. The school will help students find housing and financial aid during the program and assist in job placement after graduation.
