Muhlenberg College is an independent, co-educational, liberal arts institution of learning, affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church, located in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The college provides an education steeped in the Judeo-Christian humanistic tradition.

Muhlenberg College offers programs in humanities, natural and social sciences, business, education, and pre-professional programs in medical, theological, and law studies. Interdisciplinary majors/minors include American studies, Asian traditions, biochemistry, environmental science, environmental studies, film studies, German studies, history/government, international studies, Jewish studies, natural science, neuroscience, philosophy/political thought, physical science, political economy, public health, Russian studies, and women's studies as well as interdisciplinary concentrations in African American studies, dana associates, Latin American studies, Muhlenberg Scholars Program, non-science medical, RJ Fellows, self-directed inquiry program, and a semester in Washington, D.C.

Women's varsity sports include tennis, track, field hockey, cross country, track, volleyball, basketball, softball, soccer, lacrosse, and golf.

Intramural and club sports are available for students who don't want to participate in varsity sports including men's floor hockey, men's football, men's soccer, women's floor hockey, and women's soccer. Co-ed sports available are air hockey, three-on-three basketball, cross country, fooseball, pool, racquetball, and four-on-four volleyball. All are offered during fall, and an assortment of outdoor intramural sports are offered during spring.

Muhlenberg has more than 100 clubs and students organizations, four national fraternities, and four national sororities.

Tuition and fees for the 2008-2009 academic school year is $35,375 for tuition and fees, $4,700 for room, and $3,360 for board.

For the 2007-2008 academic year, Muhlenberg received 4,703 applications, offered admission to 1,748, and 551 students enrolled. Forty-seven percent of the freshman students were in the top tenth of their high school class, 74 percent in the top fifth of their high school class, and 93 percent were in the top two-fifths of the high school class.
