The Nash Academy of Grooming is a dog grooming school based in Lexington, Kentucky with another school located in New Jersey. The Nash family founded the Nash Academy of Grooming in 1978 and the tradition of family ownership continues today.

The Nash Academy of Grooming is for dog lovers; those wanting to enter a new profession, or people simply wanting to learn about grooming their own animals. The Nash Academy of Grooming has three different programs from which to choose: on site learning, distance online learning or a combination of both.

The traditional dog grooming and style program offers a diploma to those who graduate. This program is designed to provide the knowledge necessary to enter the field as a professional groomer. Students are required to complete 600 hours of practical application, as well as complete the following courses: understanding man's best friend; form and function of man's best friend; first aid and CPR for man's best friend; taking care of man's best friend; who's who in man's best friend; variations and creations of man's best friend; salon for man's best friend; grooming man's best friend; and styling man's best friend. The correct methods of taking care of the dog's eyes, ears, nose and feet will be applied.

The online course at the Nash Academy of Grooming seeks to train people preparing to enter professional dog grooming, or the dog owner wishing to learn more about their pets. Students in the online course will study the following: understanding man's best friend; form and function of man's best friend; first aid and CPR for man's best friend; taking care of man's best friend; who's who in man's best friend; variations and creations of man's best friend; salon for man's best friend; grooming man's best friend; and styling man's best friend.

The combination program through the Nash Academy of Grooming allows students to complete the online courses of study for the diploma program, and students only have to complete the hands-on portion of the course at the school. Garden apartments are located close to the Nash Academy of Grooming for student use while they are completing their study.
