National College - Martinsville is a campus located in Martinsville, Virginia and is one of the institutions in the National College Professional School system. National College The primary purpose the National Colleges is to prepare future business professionals in all aspects of the working world. National College's history is traced back to 1886 when J.A. Trimmer founded the National Business College. There are several colleges in the National College system. In Virginia; Bluefield, Charlottesville; Danville, Harrisonburg; Lynchburg, Martinsville and Roanoke Valley. In Kentucky: Danville, Florence, Lexington, Louisville, Pikeville and Richmond. In Ohio: Cincinnati, Dayton area, Stow and Youngstown. Tennessee: Bartlett, Bristol, Knoxville, Madison, Memphis and Nashville. National College also has a campus in Indianapolis, Indiana.

National College has been in Martinsville since 1978. In 2008, National College - Martinsville began holding classes at the new campus at 905 North Memorial Blvd. The college is investing $2.3 million in renovations to that facility. National College - Martinsville offers Diplomas as well as Associate's Degrees. Diplomas can be earned in the following areas: accounting; accounting office assistant; administrative office specialist, business administration, computerized office applications, desktop support, medical billing and coding, medical office assistant, medical office specialist, Pharmacy Technician and supervisory management specialist. Associate's Degrees can be earned in the following programs: administrative office professional; business administration, accounting; business administration, management; computer applications technology; information systems engineering and medical assisting.

Students may apply for financial assistance through the college financial planning department. Trained professionals are available on each campus to ensure students apply for the appropriate financial aid. Students may apply in one or several different sources of financial aid, including: grants; loans; work study; scholarships; merit awards and other programs. The campuses of National College have a combined 381 classrooms, all equipped with the
latest technology to help students gain a foothold in the workplace and be successful in business. National College - Martinsville is currently undergoing a renovation in a new location that will provide state of the art computer and other equipment. The small class sizes at National College - Martinsville help students receive personalized attention from instructors. The Virtual Library through the National College system allows students to research and study from anywhere. There are 200 computers at each campus dedicated to the Virtual Library system.
