National College of Naprapathy is located in Chicago, Illinois, and provides students with training in naprapathic medicine, which treats connective tissue disorders with the use of manipulation, nutritional counseling and therapeutic modalities. Connective tissue disorders are abnormally rigid or contracted ligaments, tendons and muscles. Naprapathic practice includes the treatment of muscle spasms, inflammation, scar tissue formation, structural imbalance, bruising, muscular atrophy, and partial separation of connective tissue fibers.

Students at National College of Naprapathy are taught the Oakley Smith Naprapathic Method of manipulation and learn to improve the health of the entire person. The doctoral program at the Illinois school includes 190 hours of training and is composed of coursework in basic and naprapathic sciences, followed by a 60-hour clinical internship. Graduates from National College of Naprapathy are eligible to take the naprapathic medicine exam for licensing by the state of Illinois.

Students at National College of Naprapathy enroll in either an accelerated program, which lasts three years, or a full-time program, which lasts four years. The student-at-large program offered by National College of Naprapathy allows students to explore naprapathic medicine without enrolling in a degree program, or work at their own pace towards a degree.
