National College offers concentrated, career-specific courses so that students do not waste time or necessary resources on courses that are not directly related to their professional fields of choice.
The Roanoke Valley campus was established in 1886 and is one of more than 23 locations of
National College. The Richmond campus is one of the first National College campuses to offer a Master's course of study and the first to offer a Bachelor's degree in addition to the traditional Associate and Diploma programs that all National college campuses offer.
National College provides students with extensive research utilities such as the Virtual Library. Through the Virtual Library, students are able to access specific databases that can retrieve articles from thousands of magazines, newspapers, reference books, and academic journals. Students can log in with a user ID and password from essentially anywhere the Internet is available. Students can also maintain the use of the Virtual Library well after graduation, in order to stay current with the latest advancements and news in their industries. National College also offers extensive Career Counseling at the Career Center. Students can learn interview skills, how to create a professional resume and also check for job opportunities that the Career Center regularly posts.
