Nationwide Beauty Academy and Spa Studio

5300 West Pointe Plaza
Columbus, Ohio 43228

Located in a busy retail shopping complex in Columbus, Ohio, Nationwide Beauty Academy and Spa Studio offers Cosmetology, esthetics, barber styling, and Nail Technology programs. The cosmetology program has two different tracks: a 1,500-hour fast track program for students interested in working as stylists but who do not immediately aspire to managing a salon, and a 1,800-hour managing cosmetology course that includes additional training pertaining to salon ownership and management. In both programs students develop the skills to excel at cutting, styling and coloring hair. They also learn a number of full-service spa treatments, including spa manicures and pedicures, special facials and other body treatments.

Although its facilities and curriculum are modern, the Nationwide Beauty Academy and Spa Studio has roots going back to 1935, when the Bustin Beauty School opened its doors. After two changes in ownership, the Bustin Beauty School grew to include several locations, a barber styling school and a residence hall, becoming the largest beauty school in Ohio. Nationwide Beauty Academy joined the group in 1997, incorporating a spa school in a few years later.

Today students can take classes at five Nationwide Beauty Academy and Spa Studio locations in and around Columbus. Training is dynamic, including lectures, demos, visual aids, textbook reviews, testing and first-hand experience working with clients. Many of the facilities feature full-service spa areas and classrooms with state-of-the-art equipment.
