massage therapy was modeled after its sister school, The Sarasota School of Natural Healing Arts, located in Sarasota, Florida.
The Natural Healing Arts
school of massage therapy is still owned by the original founders and maintains the highest pass ratios for its graduates on the National Certification Exam, which graduates of the 700-hour course are eligible to take upon receiving their diploma. With locations in Tupelo and Southhaven, its mission continues to be to prepare graduates for professional careers as licensed massage therapists. The Tupelo location features a large, colorful classroom and a full-time professional massage clinic in the same building. The Southhaven location is minutes away from busy Memphis, Tennessee and has a new classroom with modern resources.
The program includes courses on massage theory and practicum, anatomy, allied modalities, and a student clinic. In addition to various massage techniques, students learn about the history of massage, professional ethics and how to pursue career opportunities. During the 200-hour course on the human body, instructors lecture on the structure and function of the body, emphasizing the muscular, skeletal, nervous and lymphatic systems and their relationship with massage.
