Cosmetology,
Nail Technology, esthetics, hair stylist, barbering and permanent makeup--developing the skills to become hairstylist, nail technologists, estheticians and makeup artists in established spas and beauty salons or to start
business of their own. New Dimensions Beauty Academy is known for its congenial atmosphere and small class sizes, with a student-to-faculty ratio of five to one. Its located in downtown Parker, Colorado, an affluent town ranked one of the best places to live in the country by Money magazine.
The
Hairstyling course is 1,200 hours, 240 instruction hours in hair sculpture, hair design, color and permanent waves. This is supplemented by 960 hours of clinical instruction. At the completion of the program, students are eligible to take the state licensing exam to become licensed hairstylists. The 1,800-hour
cosmetology course prepares students to take the exam to become licensed cosmetologists, having mastered manicures, facials, makeup, pedicures and various elements of hairstyling. The course includes 1,350 hours of clinical instruction.
New Dimensions Beauty Academy offers body art courses at two levels: basic and advanced. During the beginner's course, students learn the basic principles of body art and stencils, including lining, pointillism and other shading techniques. The advanced course allows students hands-on experience during an apprenticeship. In addition to body art techniques, they learn marketing and
business principles to help manage a business. Both courses culminate with a certificate upon the passing of a written exam.

The body piercing course offered by New Dimensions Beauty Academy includes 14 hours of instruction, where students learn the basics of safe piercing and have the opportunity to perform piercings on clients. Students earn a certificate of completion upon passing a written exam.
The 1,500-hour barbering program trains students in hair sculpture, hair design, color, permanent waves and other techniques. Students can take the state licensing exam upon completing the course successfully.
