The New England School of Communications shares a campus with the Husson College in Bangor, Maine, home to about 35,000 people. NESCOM enrolls approximately 400 students a year, while Husson College enrolls another 2,700. New England School of Communications confers associate and bachelor degrees of science in communications in more than a dozen concentrations, including audio engineering, broadcast journalism, marketing communications, sports, Web communications and audio-visual technology.

The studio where audio engineering courses take place has six control rooms (each with an associated set of tools and curriculum) with two isolation booths for instruments and vocal work, a microphone closet with a vast number of choices, three racks of mike preamps and compressors, and various audio edit suites. Students in the Web communications concentration study various topics related to Web design and develop skills to create Web sites with strong design, navigation, content, functionality and interactivity and that meet industry best practices standards.

Although residency is not required of first-year students, New England School of Communications makes housing available to all students who return housing contracts on time. There are three co-ed residence halls on campus, each with nine levels with a various living options. Residence halls are shared with Husson College students.
