New Mexico Highlands University was established as New Mexico Normal School, and became NMHU in 1941, as the school began offering more than teacher education. Now, the school is located in Las Vegas, New Mexico, and offers graduate and undergraduate degrees through the College of Arts and Sciences, School of
business, School of Education, and School of Social Work.
New Mexico Highlands University's programs of study include anthropology, art, biology,
business administration, chemistry, computer science, education,
