The oldest and largest college of podiatric medicine in the United States, the New York College of Podiatric Medicine is located in Manhattan. Through classroom instruction, clinical training, and externships, NYCPM has remained at the forefront of its educational field since its first class in 1911.

NYCPM offers a four-year program of study to prepare students to enter graduate podiatric medical training programs. The curriculum includes traditional studies as well as problem-based learning for students who have already received the required prerequisites in chemistry, physics, and biology.

Through two years of pre-clinical study students at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine master a comprehensive knowledge of basic medical sciences including anatomy, physiology, immunology, genetics, and more. What follows is two years of clinical sciences, which includes didactic lectures, clinical clerkships, and problem-solving using diagnostic skills in clinical settings.
