Named after John Henry Cardinal Newman, an intellectual leader in the Catholic Church, Newman University is located in Wichita, Kansas, and offers a private, liberal arts educational experience grounded in the values and traditions of Catholicism.

The core curriculum at NU offers a challenging academic environment and small classes which are enhanced by faculty who are recognized leaders in their field. Faith is used as a framework for the academics at Newman University to foster a strong spiritual life, but all faiths and beliefs are welcome at NU.

Accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, Newman University also has outreach sites in two other Kansas locations, as well as in Colorado and Oklahoma. Returning adult students can enjoy the flexible evening and weekend class availability offered at Newman.
