North Country
Community College students are active not only on their own campus, but in the community as well. North Country students contribute volunteer hours to the local community. This past June, the school also sent a group of students to Battle Creek, Michigan during spring break to work with Habitat for Humanity. Students may opt to find their own housing or live in school-sponsored housing. The school also offers seven different sports programs in men's soccer, basketball, and ice hockey and women's soccer, basketball, and softball. The on-campus Learning Assistance Center provides students with writing assistance, placement testing, computer and internet access, and study skills training. North Country
Community College students also have access to free one-on-one or small group peer or faculty tutoring as well as a meeting space for study groups. To prepare you for entry into the working world, the school also offers career counseling, resume-writing workshops, job search support, and transfer advisement for students looking to continue their education after graduation.
