North Dakota State College of Science is a public two-year college located in Wahpeton, North Dakota. Founded in 1903, North Dakota State College of Science is one of the oldest two-year schools in the country. The school has a long history of providing students from North Dakota a quality education that will either prepare them directly for their career or for transfer to a four-year college. Originally known as the North Dakota State School of Science, the school changed its name in 1987 to better reflect its mission and as a part of the North Dakota University System initiative.

The liberal arts programs that are transferable to institutions of higher learning include the following: agriculture; banking and financial services; biotechnology; business administration; chiropractic; clinical laboratory science; computer science; criminal justice; dental; early childhood education; education; emergency management; engineering; general liberal arts; health, physical education and recreation; general studies; law; management information systems; medical; music; natural science; optometry; paralegal; pharmacy; physical science; psychology; registered nursing; social work; wildlife management; machinist and toolmaker; mechanical systems; mental health care associate; nanoscience technology; nursing; occupational therapy assistant; administrative assistant; administrative office management; paraeducation; Pharmacy Technician; plumbing; recreational engines technology; technical studies; welding technology; agriculture systems management; and electrical fields.

Prospective students wishing to enroll at North Dakota State College of Science must have a high school diploma or GED and have SAT or ACT exam scores. Students who have attended other colleges or universities must also provide a transcript from those schools. Students must also provide medical records that show proof of immunizations from certain diseases. More than 1,000 students each year choose to live on campus at North Dakota State College of Science. In addition to traditional dorms, the college owns apartment complexes that provide affordable housing to students, their families and groups of friends who wish to live in an apartment setting.
