Technical College is a professional technical school located in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Northeast Wisconsin Technical College is one of 16 districts in the
Wisconsin Technical College System. Northeast Wisconsin Technical College has three campuses: Green Bay (main), Sturgeon Bay, and Marinette. Northeast Wisconsin Technical College was founded in the early 1900s when most people received much of their higher education through apprenticeship programs. The vocational school systems were established to try to standardize some of the training. The Green Bay and Marinette campuses of Northeast Wisconsin Technical College were established in 1913 and the Sturgeon Bay campus was founded in 1941. The colleges were combined into one district of the Wisconsin Technical College System in 1968. Northeast Wisconsin Technical College serves more than 40,000 residents in Northeast Wisconsin.
Northeast Wisconsin Technical College offers more than 70 diploma and associate degree programs and 40 certificate programs. The degree programs include: accounting; administrative assistant; applied
engineering tech; architectural technology; automation engineering tech;
automotive collision and repair refinishing tech; automotive technician;
business administration - credit; business management; casing management; criminal justice; dental assistant; dental hygienist; digital media technology; early childhood education; electrical; electronics; hotel/restaurant management; landscape/horticulture; marketing; mechanical design tech; medical assistant;
nursing; office assistant; paralegal; physical therapy assistant; print technology; radiography; respiratory therapist; retail management; supply chain management; surgical technologist; welding; and wood tech.
Prospective students wishing to enroll at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College must have a high school diploma or GED; must complete a Compass exam, or have SAT or ACT exam scores. Students who have attended other colleges or universities must also provide a transcript from those schools. Students who are completing their high school education may enroll concurrently at the school, but must have at least began their senior year to enroll in a degree program. Students who need to complete their high school education may enroll in GED preparation classes at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College.
