The Terrace Campus at Northwest
community college is one of the Canada colleges that serves Terrace, Thornhill and the surrounding area with a combined population of approximately 20,000 and is located in the famous Skeena Valley in the Coast Mountain Range. Terrace is the geographic centre for the region's natural transportation corridors and acts as a regional center for many services. Two major shopping malls, multiple restaurants and community recreational facilities are all found within the downtown core. Indoor and outdoor recreation opportunities abound at Northwest
Community College, including skiing, swimming, skating, hiking, and organized sports.
A major downhill skiing operation on Shames Mountain as well as a natural hot spring at Mount Layton is a short highway trip from Terrace at Northwest Community College. Many forms of cultural activities take place throughout the year and involve a Music Festival, a B.C. Day celebration called Riverboat Days, community band performances, little theatre and First Nations events.
Northwest Community College in Terrace is located on 30 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds approximately five kilometers from downtown Terrace. The campus features student housing and a full service cafeteria. A full scope of programs is offered that includes Career and College Preparation, Integrated Human Services, Trades and Technology, Computer Technology, Practical
nursing, Professional Cook Training,
business Technology and

The Continuing Education department is able to make available a broad range of instructional and professional expertise, on a cost-recovery basis to organizations, agencies and other clients within the Northwest Community College community whose special requirements cannot be met through our regular calendar offerings.
