Northwestern college, located in the Twin Cities, subscribes to the educational philosophy of "faith, learning and living." This Minnesota college is situated on more than 100 acres, surrounded by trees and the lake shore. More than 3,000 students attend the school, enrolled in 50 undergraduate and graduate programs. Studies range from accounting to youth ministry. Thirty credits of bible are weaved into every major.

The mission for Northwestern college is to "provide Christ-centered higher education equipping students to grow intellectually and spiritually, to serve effectively in their professions, and to give God-honoring leadership in the home, church, community and world."

Northwestern College is part of the NCAA-III Athletics and affiliated with the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference. Men's sports include cross country, golf, football, soccer, basketball, track, baseball, and tennis. Women's sports are cross country, volleyball, soccer, basketball, track, softball, and tennis.

Almost three million people live in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. Residents can enjoy more than 250 parks and the recreational features of more than 930 lakes. Plus, there is plenty of cultural attractions, such as the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, and the Minnesota Opera Company. A bus is scheduled each day, except for Sunday, to transport students to nearby shopping centers, including the Mall of America.

Located on the shores of Lake Johanna, the campus offers sledding, ice skating, and cross-country skiing in the winter for students.

The Student Center is filled with lounges, study areas, computer labs, game rooms, laundry facilities, and a pool/sauna.

Major performances take place on the full proscenium stage at Maranatha Hall, which seats up to more than 1,300 people.

In 1902, Dr. William Bell Riley founded Northwestern College at First Baptist Church in Minneapolis. Northwestern College has been on its current campus since 1972.

Northwestern College owns and operates 15 listener-supported radio stations throughout Florida and the Midwest.
