As a comprehensive two-year institution of higher learning, Northwestern Connecticut community college has been dedicated to students and the community for more than 40 years. Now offering certificate courses and associate degree programs, this Connecticut College has been providing students with the education and career skills they need to enter a new field, move up in their current industry, and pursue an education at a traditional four-year university or college.

From certificate programs in graphic design, medical assisting, computer programming, webmaster/Internet design, child development, and therapeutic recreation, to associate degree courses in computer systems technology, engineering science, allied health administration, animation and video arts, deaf studies, veterinary technology, and accounting, there's a program to suit a multitude of future career needs.

When they're not in class or at work, students of Northwestern Connecticut Community College participate in such extracurricular organizations as the Fine Art Society, Criminal Justice Association, Ski and Snowboarding Club, and Connecticut Association of Veterinary Technicians. Students also engage in such athletics as men's basketball, golf, yoga, and co-ed volleyball.
