Officially created in 1992 as the result of a merger between St. Bernard Parish Community College and the Elaine P. Nunez Technical Institute, this Louisiana school has been providing students with the career, technical, and liberal arts education they need to embark on a career, increase their job mobility, or transfer to a traditional four-year university or college.

From certificate programs in the Culinary Arts, emergency medical technology, office careers, computer technology, and electrical construction, to associate degree programs in computer information systems, business technology, health services office management, paralegal studies, and teaching, there's a program to suit most any student at this Louisiana community college.

Thanks to its participation in the Louisiana Alliance for Minority Participation, Nunez Community College is able to award scholarships to qualified minority students who wish to transfer to a traditional four-year university or college, and pursue a career in math, engineering, the sciences, or technology.
