Ogeechee Technical College opened in 1989 as a public two-year institution with just one credit program - practical nursing. The school opened with 25 students as the Ogeechee Technical Institute. In the years since, Ogeechee Technical College has established a number of programs, including an adult GED program, certificate and diplomas, as well as the associate degree programs.
