Ohio School has an enrollment of more than 400 students on the main campus, with 150 students involved in adult and
online degree programs. The core values are Christ centered, Biblically based, student oriented, ministry motivated, and leadership focused.
Ohio Christian University was once known as the Mount of Praise
Bible College and later became Circleville
Bible College. The goal of the school was to guide men to become ministers within the Churches of Christ in Christian Union. In 2006, the name changed to Ohio Christian University because classes were offered beyond Circleville. Now, students can take classes in Columbus and Nelsonville. Ohio Christian University also earned full regional accreditation. Ohio Christian University is a member of the North Central Association and accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
The student to faculty ratio is approximately 13 to 1. With a small class size, students are able to get know their professors on a personal level. Approximately 99 percent of students receive some type of financial aid. Located on rural farmland, students who attend the school come from more than 10 states and several different countries. Ohio Christian University offers a Bachelor of Arts and an Associate of Arts. There are more than 20 different programs for students to choose from.
Athletics involve soccer, basketball, baseball, and golf for men. Women's sports teams include basketball, volleyball, and softball. Ohio Christian University is an NCCAA (National
Christian college Athletic Association) Division II school. Students are active participants in intramural sporting events. Ohio Christian University students are active in student life activities, especially when it comes to music, such as choirs and bands.
