Ohio State University in Marion is a satellite campus of Ohio State University and gives students a chance to go to a Big Ten school but at a smaller location. The seven complete majors available at this Ohio College are business administration, education, English, history, psychology, master of education, and the RN to BSN completion program.

Sports also play a role in campus life. The Student Center has a modern gym, plus an indoor rock climbing walls. Ohio State University at Marion is part of the Ohio Regional Campus Conference. Sports teams include golf, men's and women's basketball, soccer, cheerleading, and volleyball.

The Student Success program is for students who come to college directly out of high school and need help to transition to the college level. Career counseling is open to all students, especially when it's time to start the interview process or build a resume. Students can participate in work-study (federally funded) or non-work-study (departmentally funded) work opportunities. The Academic Enrichment Center provides free tutoring for students, with a concentration on math and English. One-to-one tutoring and small groups tutoring is available.
