Founded in 1965, Ohlone College is a community college located in Fremont, California. IT was established in 1965. Ohlone enrolls over 18,000 students per semester at the Fremont and Newark campuses as well as in online programs. Ohlone College is accredited by the national Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC).

Ohlone College offers more than 184 degrees and academic programs. Ohlone students may obtain an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree, a Certificate of Achievement or a Certificate of Completion in a specified occupational field, or a completion of lower division (freshman and sophomore) requirements for transfer to upper division (junior) standing at a four-year college or University. Every year more than 500 Ohlone students transfer to four-year colleges and Universities and more than 760 students graduate with degrees or earn vocational certificates every year.

Ohlone College is well known for its media outlets and is the home of 89.3 KOHL radio and ONTV-28 television channel broadcast over cable. The radio station and TV studios are both located on campus. The Ohlone Network News on the TV channel is prepared and delivered by students themselves. Ohlone College also has one of the largest and most comprehensive programs in California designed to meet the academic and vocational needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. Ohlone also offers its students a comprehensive Study Abroad program.
