The Oklahoma
state university system has five campuses in Stillwater, Okmulgee, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, and the Center for Health Sciences in Tulsa. At the main branch in Tulsa, there are more than 80 undergraduate and graduate degree choices for students to study. Students have the chance to study anything from
business administration to
fine arts. Located in Tulsa, the city allows students to participate in a wide-variety of cultural and recreational opportunities in a safe, friendly community.
Camp Cowboy gives hundreds of first-year students the chance to experience life at Oklahoma
state university. This is a three-day freshman orientation program that includes campfires, as well as a variety of small group activities. This gives students a chance to meet incoming freshmen, as well as faculty members. Located at Camp Redlands, this is an ideal way for students to transition to college life. This is also where students will meet Pistol Pete and learn all the fight songs and cheers.
Sports play a main role on campus life. Sports teams at Oklahoma State University have captured more than 40 national team championships. More than 140 athletes have won national titles. As for student athletes, the athletics program has consistently finished among the top 30 programs in the annual Director's Cup standings for the NCAA. The Colvin Center has been ranked as one of the top collegiate sports facilities in the nation, according to the National Intramural and Recreational Sports Association. It was selected for its architectural design, as well as the ability to provide programming and sports activities to students.
