Olney Central College is a two-year community college located in Olney, Illinois. Olney Central College is one of four community colleges in the Illinois Eastern Community College district. The other three colleges are: Frontier Community College, Lincoln Trail College and Wabash Valley College. The community college district was formed in the 1960s and the district is one of 39 community college districts in the state recognized by the Illinois Community College Board. The Illinois Eastern Community College district is located in an area that encompasses 3,000 square miles, covering 12 counties in Eastern Illinois and serving a population of 111,000.

Students at Olney Central College can enroll in programs, which will lead to a certificate or an associate degree. These programs include: accounting and computing; administration of justice degree; administrative information tech; automotive service technology; basic nurse assistant; collision repair technology; corrections - parole officer; Cosmetology; crime scene technician; entrepreneurship; industrial maintenance; massage therapy; medical office assistant; medical transcription; nursing; paraprofessional educator; phlebotomy; radiography; web design certificate; and welding. Olney Central College has a transfer agreement with Franklin University. Students who graduate from Olney Central College with at least 60 semester hours can transfer to Franklin and enter a higher-level degree program.

Prospective students wishing to enroll at Olney Central College must have a high school diploma or GED; and have SAT or ACT exam scores. Students who have attended other colleges or universities must also provide a transcript from those schools. Students who are completing their high school education may enroll concurrently at the school. There is no on-campus housing at Olney Central College, but the school may be able to recommend affordable housing in the area. Students at Olney Central College have access to the Anderson Library on campus, as well as the other libraries in the district. The campus at Olney Central College is a vibrant and active one, which has a performing arts center and music program.
