Located only minutes from downtown New Orleans in the Algiers section of the city, Our Lady of Holy Cross College is situation on a 15-acre campus designed in a Southern Colonial style. OLHCC was founded in 1916 as a Ministry of the Marianites of Holy Cross, a Catholic congregation of women dedicated to service in the name of Jesus.

OLHCC focuses on educating the "whole person," which includes both heart and mind. Students focus on an education in their chosen field, but are also infused with understanding the importance and place of Christian values in their lives. There is a faith-based atmosphere at OLHCC, complemented by small class sizes, personal attention, and opportunities for collaboration.

Innovative teaching methods at Our Lady of Holy Cross College are combined with critical thinking and research and the important element of volunteering and giving back to the community and church. OLHCC is one of eight Holy Cross colleges in the nation.
