As a two-year institution of higher learning, Oxnard College in California is devoted to providing its diverse student population with the quality education and instruction that they need to excel in their future endeavors. While Oxnard College's general and continuing education courses provide students with the skills they need to excel in life and continue learning, the various occupational programs give students the skills they need to embark upon a new career or increase their job mobility in their current occupation. The transfer program, meanwhile, provides students with an easier means of preparing for transfer to a traditional four-year college or university.

In addition, together these four programs cover everything from marine studies, political science, computer information systems, business, and philosophy, to courses in health education, child development, Culinary Arts and restaurant management, economics, and engineering technology. Students who are unable to consistently attend classes on campus also have the option of enrolling in Oxnard College's distance education programs. These programs take the form of online-only classes, telecourses, and hybrid instruction (in which students learn both in and out of the classroom).
