The adaptive phase at Paul Mitchell Schools teaches the value of time management, retailing and the art of successful communication. Finally, creative takes students through advanced hair dressing and chemical work. The skin academy department at Paul Mitchell Schools offers the state-required program for becoming a licensed skin therapist. Developed in alliance with the International Dermal Institute, this unique program brings a new depth of understanding and knowledge of classical professional techniques, such as international skin treatments, speed waxing, customized treatment protocols, skin analysis, ingredient technology, makeup techniques, and prescriptive retailing. The nail academy department guides students to master the skills, science and creativity required by the nail enhancement industry, as well as introducing them to ongoing discoveries in the science of hand and foot beauty.
