Penn State Behrend was founded in 1948 and is located in the scenic city of Erie, Pennsylvania. The 810-acre campus offers numerous state-of-the-art facilities students can take advantage of. Among them is the John M. Lilley Library featuring a variety of electronic databases, journals, and numerous additional resources accessible to students.

Not only does the Penn State University Behrend student have access to campus library resources, but access to university library resources as well. Penn State University boasts more than four million volumes, numerous database collections and many other resources accessible to students. Other Penn State Behrend facilities include the 160,000-square foot Research and Economic Development Center, the Observatory and many others.

Students can also take advantage of an array of men's and women's varsity sports at Penn State Behrend including track and field, cross country, water polo and more. There are also more than 100 clubs and organizations for students to get involved in such as the Equestrian Team, Martial Arts Club, Political Science Society and others.

Penn State Behrend offers numerous forms of financial aid to student including scholarships, grants, work-study and more. In the 2010-11 academic year, Penn State Behrend awarded more than $1 million in scholarships to students.
