Penn State University Beaver is one of several campuses of the prominent
Penn State University. Penn State Beaver offers a variety of undergraduate, graduate and professional certificate degrees and programs. At Penn State Beaver, students can take advantage of small class sizes in a suburban atmosphere, gaining access to the first two years of more than 160 of
Penn State University's majors. At Penn State Beaver, students can complete Bachelor's degrees in several areas, including applied psychology, communications, information sciences and technology and others. A Masters of Education in Teaching and Curriculum is also offered at Penn State Beaver.
Penn State Beaver was established in 1965 and is located in Monaca, Pennsylvania. The campus spans over just over 100 acres offering numerous state-of-the-art facilities for students to take advantage of. Among them are The Beaver Campus Library, which offers more than 45,000 books, a diverse music collection and numerous additional resources. Not only does the Penn State Beaver student have access to campus library resources, but access to university library resources as well. Penn State Libraries boast more than four million volumes, numerous database collections and many other resources accessible to students.
Other Beaver campus facilities include, The Baker-Dungan Museum and The Brodhead Cultural Center, which features the J. P. Giusti Amphitheater.
Students can also take advantage of an array of varsity sports at Penn State Beaver including soccer, volleyball and softball. There are also numerous clubs and organizations such as the Psychological Society, the Soccer Club and others.
Penn State Beaver offers numerous forms of financial aid to student including scholarships, grants and more. About 80 percent of Penn State beaver students receive financial aid. Some scholarships include the Kristopher David Monyok
