The Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico (PUPR) is a private non-profit, co-educational higher education institution founded in September, 1966. The disciplines of emphasis in its institutions are: engineering, Land Surveying, Architecture and business Administration.

At present, Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico is the largest private Engineering School in Puerto Rico and the only one in the metropolitan area of San Juan. It is also the largest private Hispanic Serving Engineering School in the United States and its territories. From 2001 and 2003, the University opened new campuses in the cities of Miami and Orlando, Florida, respectively. The headquarters of the institution are in Hato Rey, in the heart of San Juan.

Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico offers Bachelor of Science in Land Surveying and Mapping, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and more. At the graduate level, Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico offers a Master in Engineering Management, business Administration in International Enterprises, Computer Information and General business, and others.
