A founding member of the Claremont College Consortium, Pomona College is located in Claremont, Calif., just 35 miles east of Los Angeles. As a part of this system, students have the benefit of using the resources of all seven of the Claremont College Consortium. Other schools in the system are

Keck Graduate Institute for Applied Life Sciences. The entire consortium boasts over 7,000 students.
Pomona College was founded in 1887 and educates over 1,500 students per year. The college reports that approximately 90 percent of entering freshmen receive degrees from Pomona after completing eight semesters of enrollment. Pomona College offers 45-degree programs in natural sciences, humanities and social sciences. Pomona College offers over 600 classes each year and students at Pomona have access to over 2,500 classes within the Claremont College system.
Pomona's College has a 140-acre campus and nearly all of the full-time students at the college live in the residence halls, placing them near the 60 buildings on the premises. The campus is home to the Pomona Museum of Art, Seaver Theatre, Rains Center for Sport and Recreation and Bridges Hall of Music, where students can attend art exhibitions, plays, sporting events and concerts. Students are also in close proximity of the cultural events and other recreational activities the greater Los Angeles area has to offer.
Pomona College also offers over 40 study abroad programs in 26 countries and more than half of its students take advantage of this opportunity before graduation.

Pomona offers a number of athletic opportunities in men's baseball, football and golf; women's lacrosse, volleyball and softball; and men's and women's basketball, cross-country, soccer, swimming and diving, tennis, track and field and water polo.
Students who attend Pomona College have access to all four libraries in the Claremont College Consortium, which include approximately 2.5 printed volumes and 30,000 journals and periodicals online and electronically.
