Situated in Porterville, California, Porterville College is a two-year institution of higher learning that's devoted to providing its student community with the training and education their need in order to meet their goals. Founded in 1927, the California Community College formally joined the Kern Community College District more than 40 years ago. Today, Porterville College enjoys a campus located on 60 acres.

When choosing to attend this California community college, students will find that they have a choice of 25 different certificate programs; ranging from accounting, agriculture, applied design, business, and astronomy, to computer graphics, engineering, life science, office technology, and vocational nursing.

Students may also decide to embark upon an associate degree program, some of which will allow them to more easily transfer to a traditional four-year college or university. The associate degree programs at Porterville College cover a wide range of disciplines, including: business administration, criminal justice, commercial art, English, math, photography, and child development. The Transfer Studies Major program, however, guarantees a student transfer in several different universities -- such as Fresno Pacific University, University of the Pacific, and several California State University campuses -- throughout the state.
