Prairie View A&M University, founded in 1876, is a comprehensive public institution offering undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs in a variety of disciplines. Prairie View A&M University offers more than 40 Baccalaureate degrees in a diverse range of areas including criminal justice, chemical engineering, engineering technology, languages and communications and more. Masters degree program range from a Masters in Science to a Master's degree in Community Development.

Prairie ViewA&M is located in the scenic town of Prairie View in Texas. Prairie View is a member of the substantial Texas A&M University System. The campus, spanning more than 1,500 acres, includes numerous state-of-the-art facilities accessible to students. Among them are the John B. Coleman Library, which features numerous electronic and print resources, special collections and more accessible to students. Other facilities include The William Nicks Building, which is home to some athletic programs featuring a seating capacity of more than 600 people.

Students can take advantage of a diverse range of both on and off campus activities at the Prairie A&M University. A NCAA Division I school, Prarie View offers numerous varsity sports program including football, soccer, track and field and much more.

Prairie View is not far from the major metropolis of Houston. Houston is home to numerous attractions such as the Museum of fine arts, the Space Center, the Houston Zoo and much more. The Prairie View campus is also within close proximity to College Station, Texas. College Station is home to the George Bush Presidential Library, numerous galleries, museums ethnic restaurants and more.
