community college is a public two-year institution of higher learning, located in the heart of south central Kansas. Its 80-acre campus is home to a variety of facilities (such as an art gallery, auditorium, and sports arena) that help to improve the quality of student life.

Community College and area vocational school, Pratt Community College offers associate degree and career training programs to interested students. From programs and courses in fields such as electric power technology,

For students who can't make it to campus for class, there's even the option of receiving their education through distance learning. Thanks to Pratt Community College's partnership the local public broadcasting system, KPTS, students can watch and tape lessons with their television. Individual programs and departments within the college have been accredited by outside institutions. For example, the Accounting and business Department has been accredited by the Association of Collegiate business Schools and Programs -- an honor shared by only two other community college business programs in the state. The school's nursing program has also been accredited by National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission.
Over 3,000 students a year receive an education from Pratt Community College, with daily on-campus attendance average 500 - 600 students.
